For eight consecutive years, the "Gift of Life" charity foundation has been holding the World Winners Games in New York. A competition for children who have survived cancer. For children who, despite the diagnosis, continue to live a full life and are ready to conquer new heights! The scale of the competition is impressive. This year the games were attended by children from 30 regions of Russia and 14 other countries, more than 500 participants from 7 to 16 years old!
Springer Artur, Alexandra Budarina, Victoria Deiko, Elena Shemetova, Maria Chesnokova and Pavel Koryakin represented the Transbaikal Region. Three of the guys came back as winners of the games: Victoria Deiko won silver in chess, Pavel Koryakin won gold in running, and Artur Springer won gold in soccer. Although in the competitions real sets of awards are played, but there are no losers, because every participant is already a winner!
In addition to the competitions there were exciting excursions and many master classes for the children! All in all, there were over 600 volunteers working at the site! All participants of the "Winner Games" receive in Moscow for free. Charitable Foundation "Maya Bee" took care of air tickets to Moscow and back, and each child flew accompanied by a parent. Sponsors and patrons helped the foundation to send children from Transbaikalia.
Over the years the Games have proven that sports can bring back the feeling of fullness and brightness of life to children! They are also very necessary for those children who are currently undergoing treatment. To strengthen faith and hope for recovery and future success in sports!
